Thai massage incorporates many different soft tissue manipulation techniques (massage, fascial release, chopping, and many more) with assisted stretches and meditation in order to achieve a deep state of relaxation. There are indeed many styles and methods of practice, though we do the most common treatment where it is performed on the floor on padded mats, with patients fully clothed and without the use of oils.
It is very meditative and relaxing, though quite different from Swedish "regular" massage, but just as effective.
A massage can last from 1 hour - 3 hours depending the time you have and/or the areas you need worked on.
Fascial Stretch Therapy
A fascial stretch therapist is a health professional who deals with mobility and chronic pain issues. This is a relatively new form of treatment that involves the therapist performing assisted stretching techniques with a client on a treatment table or floor.
Myofascial Therapy (also known as myofascial release therapy or myofascial trigger point therapy) is a type of safe, low load stretch that releases tightness and pain throughout the body caused by myofascial pain syndrome, which describes chronic muscle pain that is worse in certain areas known as trigger points.
Stretch Therapy session can last from 1 - 1.5 hours depending on the areas you need worked on.
